Katerina Voegtle
Katerina Voegtle is a photographer, educator, researcher, and community organizer whose work focuses on U.S. militarism, nationalism and the construction of national myths, as well as displacement and housing justice. She holds a dual BFA in photography & imaging and social & cultural analysis from New York University (NYU).
Katerina’s work is motivated by the firm belief that the photographic image can fundamentally change how we see and interact with the world. This belief has led her to create socially-minded work that has been featured in publications and exhibitions such as Vogue Italia and Photoville, to spearhead community initiatives as manager of youth programs at the International Center of Photography, and to establish Estudio La Zambra, a creative studio centering the flamenco industry.
