Louisa P. Lavender's album documents three years of her teenage life frolicking on the lake, attending college sporting events, and posing with family and friends such as her Baltimore neighbors Gertrude Hillegeist and Frederick M. Kipp, Jr. Lavender cut her snapshots into a variery of shapes, framed many of them in gold, and juxtaposed them with text found in the newspaper or written by hand. While most of the collaged text simply identifies the sitter, others are humorous: "A Skin of Beauty Is a Joy Forever" is pasted below a picture of a young man seated on a dock; "Look them over and see if they are not decidedly the best in Baltimore" accompanies an image of girls in sports uniforms; and "Has a charm entirely its own" appears next to a snapshot of two girls in a canoe.
