1988 Infinity Award: Art

Georges Rousse and Joel-Peter Witkin share the Art award. French artist Rousse icreates and then photographs large-scale installations in abandoned structures. He cites Kasimir Malevich as a major influence. American photographer Witkin, in contrast, was heavily influenced by a horrofic accident he witnessed as a child. Themes of death and the dead permeate his work.
