2006 Infinity Award: Young Photographer

Emerging Dutch artist Ahmet Polat works as a photojournalist, primarily in the Netherlands and Turkey. He has photographed gentrified ghettos in The Hague and Istanbul, the homeless in Tilburg, and the aftermath of Turkey’s devastating 1999 earthquakes, and has exhibited and published widely since the late 1990s.
