John Wielk

John L. Wielk, Chief Development Officer, joined the International Center of Photography in 2016 and oversees all fundraising initiatives, including major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and government sources, capital campaign and strategic partnerships, and annual fund, membership and special events. These efforts support the full range of ICP activities such as museum exhibitions and educational outreach programs, school curricula and scholarships, capital projects, and general operations.

Prior to joining ICP, he served as Deputy Director, Corporate and Institutional Development, at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation; Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hunter College; and Associate Director of Development and Membership at The Museum of Modern Art. He was also Director of Development, Administration and Information Services for Professional Standards Review Council of America, a medical services consulting firm.

He received a BA in art history and computer science from Columbia College, Columbia University, and pursued an MA program in modern art and architecture at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
