From early 19th century work to the latest trends in digital media, ICP’s internationally-acclaimed exhibitions reflect the depth and range of the medium. Sponsorship of exhibitions and associated programs (lectures, tours, symposia, catalogs, national, and/or international tours) offer significant marketing and philanthropic opportunities, and are available at various levels to our patrons, corporate partners, and funders. Benefits may include:
- Recognition onsite and in all print and digital promotional materials, including invitations and our website
- Private, curator-led tours of exhibitions for employees and clients
- Employee benefits throughout the sponsorship year, including free museum admission and discounts in the bookstore and café at the ICP Museum
- Opportunity to host private events in ICP’s galleries
ICP’s educational and outreach activities also offer program funding opportunities, which help sustain ICP’s educational mission to share photography with diverse audiences.
ICP Permanent Collection: Our Collection has grown to more than 160,000 images and includes The Cornell and Robert Capa Archives, The Roman Vishniac Archive, The Weegee Archive, and works by all the 20th century’s leading photographers. Your support will help ICP preserve, catalog, and present these important collections.
ICP School: Year-round offerings include daytime/evening/weekend continuing education courses, as well as travel programs. Contributions towards the ICP School help support the ICP Library (New York’s largest photography library), Digital Media Labs, and education programs in general.
Scholarships: We offer three full-time certificate programs—for General Studies, Photojournalism, and New Media Narratives—and a full-time, two-year MFA degree with Bard College in Advanced Photographic Studies. Scholarship support helps enable a diverse student body from around the world to experience the professional training and education that ICP offers.
Community Programs: These programs serve more than 8,000 teens each year both on- and off-site through Teen Academy, Community Partnerships, and Museum Education group tours. Contributions from ICP’s funders and contributors support Community Partnerships, free Museum tours for public school groups, and the Teen Academy scholarship program, through which half of all spaces are reserved for need-based scholarship students.
Pay-what-you-wish Thursdays: Between 6 and 9 pm on Thursdays, admission to the new ICP Museum will be by voluntary contribution; sponsor acknowledgements reach a broad and diverse audience.
Sponsorship of ICP events—including annual benefits, exhibition openings, and other special occasions—provide sponsors with significant visibility and recognition opportunities. Our highest-profile annual event is the annual Infinity Awards, established in 1985 to honor outstanding achievements in photography. These prestigious awards are presented at a spring gala for an international audience of 500 guests, including professionals in the fields of fashion, photography, design, and communications; corporate patrons of the arts; and individual collectors and philanthropists.
