The International Center of Photography (ICP) is the world’s leading institution dedicated to photography and visual culture. Summary

The integration of office automation technology has been a progressive goal at the International Center of Photography over the past decade. This position will support all help desk functions by overseeing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of office automation systems. This includes desktop computers using variants on the Windows operating system, Windows server systems, and Mac OS.

Essential Functions

Provide quality technical service to all end users in a timely and professional manner Responsible for the update of system OS, productivity programs, antivirus, and software licensing

  • Assists with desktop moves and computer upgrades
  • Process the purchase of microcomputers (PC and Mac), LAN equipment, and peripherals as directed
  • Maintain ICP’s Office 365 Exchange Online environment
  • Answer service desk questions through Zendesk ticketing system
  • Maintain a staff assignment list and equipment inventory including serial numbers, date in service, expense, maintenance contract dates for all computers and printers, etc.
  • Assist in creating internal documentation and procedures for the IT Knowledgebase
  • Participate in training end-users on the various systems used throughout ICP

Additional Responsibilities

  • May require occasional evenings and/or weekends.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of HTML and web development tools (Drupal, etc.) a plus.

This position will require regular travel to all ICP locations (1114 Avenue of the Americas and 250 Bowery in Manhattan and 888 Newark Avenue in Jersey City, NJ and Bard Studio LIC as directed by Senior Manager, IT.

Minimum Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Windows server management and desktop support for systems and MS Office software
  • Work with networked systems on LAN and WAN nodes
  • Demonstrated skills in configuring networked peripherals including laser printers
  • Demonstrated knowledge in configuring and managing user accounts within Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange server email system
  • Experience in end-user support
  • Experience with Macintosh OSX system and hardware
  • Experience with Ethernet networking systems, hubs, switches, etc.
  • Experience with Zendesk ticketing & Veeam a plus
  • Experience with Office 365
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-through
  • Solid communication skills
  • Commitment to providing superior customer service
