Judith Levitt

Judith Levitt, a core faculty member in the Photojournalism Program at ICP, is an accomplished photojournalist, editor, and producer. She has acted as a photo editor and multimedia producer for HBO, GEO Magazine, WashingtonPost.com, and The New York Times. Her multimedia work has received the National Press Photographers Association’s “Best of Photojournalism” award and placed first in the Pictures of the Year International competition (POYi). Her recent, widely acclaimed portrait and documentary series “Jesus’ Priests” explores the lives of priests and bishops of the Roman Catholic Womenpriests movement. She continues to explore the possibility of female spiritual leaders in traditional religion. Levitt moved from Germany to the U.S. in her twenties and now lives and works in Brooklyn.
