The Ruth Harriet Louise Scholarship Fund
ICP is delighted to announce that the estate of the noted MGM studio photographer, Ruth Harriet Louise, has formed the Ruth Harriet Louise Scholarship Fund at ICP.
|
Hired by MGM in 1925 at the age of 22, Ruth Harriet Louise became Hollywood's first woman of photography, and created some of the most famous images of Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Buster Keaton, Lon Chaney, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Myrna Loy, and so many other great Hollywood luminaries.
Ruth's legacy has survived through numerous books and exhibitions, and now through the official web site dedicated to her by her family, The Ruth Harriet Louise Collection. A portion of the proceeds from the Collection will be donated to the Ruth Harriet Louise Scholarship Fund. The Fund will support scholarship programs for students in need at the School of ICP.
