ICP is pleased to announce that the trustees of the Keller-Shatanoff Foundation have granted $5,000 to support our Teen Academy scholarship program. This year's grant will support The Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Keller Teen Academy Scholarship Fund for 2007-8, which will enable nine students to attend a Teen Academy course at ICP.

The mission of ICP's Teen Academy is to provide an intensive learning environment for teenagers to explore photography while gaining a range of new skills, participating in diverse cultural and arts experiences, and receiving career and academic guidance to prepare them for higher education. Students from all over New York City, and beyond, come to study photography in our Teen Academy.

For students without significant family support, the cost of attending this quarterly after-school program is beyond reach. The Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Keller Teen Academy Scholarship Fund for 2007-08 ensures that an entire class of deserving Teen Academy scholarship students will be enrolled for one term in the academic year.

The Keller-Shatanoff Foundation was established by the late Betty S. Keller after the death of her husband, Dr. Joseph Keller, a New York dentist. Dr. Keller's life-long passion for photography was the impetus for the foundation to support ICP with this grant.

"Joseph and Betty Keller would be pleased to know that they are helping teens discover the power of photography and opening their impressionable eyes to an exciting world of possibilities," stated Irving Gluck, the foundation's president. The Keller-Shatanoff Foundation provides generous support to a number of New York City cultural and social service organizations.
