FULL-TIME PROGRAMS

Admission Process

Applicants who pass the Preliminary Selection Jury are asked to send or deliver original work to ICP for final selection and are invited to schedule an appointment for an interview. A telephone interview will suffice for applicants who reside outside the United States or at a great distance from New York. For the final selection, applicants should submit a portfolio of twenty-five to thirty photographic prints, each print no larger than 11"x14". All original works must be accompanied by a complete inventory, and each work must bear the applicant's name and return address. Postage to cover the return of the portfolio must also be included.

Offers of admission are valid only for the year in which they are made. No admission decisions will be given in person or over the telephone. Accepted students must submit proof of their bachelor's degree, without which admission is not binding.

Acceptance of admission to the ICP-Bard program must be accompanied by a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $500 (payable to ICP, in the form of a U.S. money order or U.S. cashier's check only) to reserve a place in the entering class.

Foreign Students

As evidence of competence in the English language, foreign students must receive a score of at least 550 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or must provide other proof of proficiency. In order to receive visa documentation, foreign students must submit a Certification of Finances, with proof that income from all sources will be sufficient to meet expenses for the period of study. Proof of sufficient income may take the following forms: affidavit from a bank, certification by parents or sponsors of their ability to provide the necessary funds, or certification by an employer of anticipated income.
