What issues do you think deserve the spotlight and how can you create a photo-essay that illustrates your point? The election year is upon us. In an ideal world, the next president that is voted in will represent the issues that they campaigned on and declared their commitment to. In this class, students will choose an election-year topic and create a photo-essay that fleshes out ideas related to that theme. Subject matter could include issues around education, health care, immigration, gun control, abortion, and more. Class sessions will include darkroom time, slide lectures, photographic fieldtrips, guest artist visits, and critiques. The course will culminate in a final presentation for family and friends.
