ICP's community programs brings the rewards of photographic expression to people of every age and background, through gallery tours, workshops, family programs, and teen classes, as well as off-site partnerships with schools, community centers, and other cultural institutions. By creating opportunities for photographic education, ICP enables individuals to explore photography as a way of understanding themselves and the bonds that form a community.

ICP's Community Partnership with Friends of Island Academy empowers its young men and women to share their voices through photography and writing. CYL: Change Your Life is a culminating slide presentation and reading that celebrates the achievements of the students who participated in the program this year. Their work reflects the themes of leadership, pride, and change; using images and words to envision and expect a brighter future.

Designing the Future

This exhibition features photographs created by high school students who have participated in ICP's Community Partnership with the High School of Fashion Industries. The programs features an integrated curriculum designed by ICP and HSFI, which includse an in-school foundation photography course, an after-school beginner's class for students and teachers, and an intermediate workshop. ICP and HSFI invite you to celebrate the achievements of these young talented students by viewing their work in this exhibition.

Change is an exhibition of photographs by ICP at The Point youth photographers. At this historic moment of change, students used their cameras to identify what that change means to them. As seen through symbols of hope, portraits of loved ones, and images of both community problems and solutions, their photographs reveal important lessons in living a brighter future.
