AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

New York University

New York University offers two options for graduate study in conjunction with the International Center of Photography.

New York University's Master of Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Photography is a thirty-six-point program allowing students to focus on the medium of photography. This M.A. program combines the breadth and variety of studies available through New York University with the specialized approach of the International Center of Photography. The program allows for in-depth exploration of all aspects of photography, from fine art to documentary to digital, and approaches photographic study with an integrated curriculum of practice, theory, aesthetics, and history, leading to a culminating group exhibition.

New York University's Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art is a two-year, sixty-point program with courses available at the International Center for Photography. For more information, please contact the NYU Art Department at (212) 998-5700 or visit the website at www.nyu.edu/education/art

Barnard College

Barnard College: Supervised Projects in Photography is a course designed for students to conduct independent projects in photography. Students will consider photography's role in sociology, journalism, and scientific research as well as in the fine arts. Individuals enrolled in this course may qualify for additional technical training and darkroom access at the International Center of Photography.

ICP-Bard Undergraduate Program

Students who take part in ICP's General Studies One-Year Certificate Program have the option to earn thirty-two undergraduate credits from Bard College for an additional fee of $2,000. Students must select this option when they apply for admission. Credits are awarded upon successful completion of the certificate program.

St. John's University, BFA Photography

The St. John's University BFA degree program in Photography introduces students to a variety of possibilities within the photographic field and further allows them to structure their photographic studies towards their career goals.

Photography majors are required to take ninety-six credits in art and photography, of which thirty-six credits are taken during their junior year at ICP.
