Since its formation in 2003, ICP's Publications Program has produced award-winning books cited for challenging approaches to photographic subject matter, groundbreaking scholarship, and innovative design. Through the Publications Program, ICP seeks not only to extend the reach of its exhibitions and collections, but also to clarify the centrality of visual culture in the understanding of modern society. The questions we ask of the image recognize both the value of photography as a form of artistic expression and its embeddedness in a social-political matrix. Reflected in all of ICP's publications is our commitment to the preservation and study of photographs as material documents which, in conjunction with other documents, can yield new interpretations of history.

All in-print titles are available from the ICP Store.
