Press FAQ

Find answers to commonly asked questions regarding press permissions.

As a member of the press, how do I gain entry to the museum?

Upon presentation of valid press credentials or a relevant business card, ICP welcomes all members of the media into the museum free of charge during our regular business hours.

What if I do not have press credentials and would like to gain access to the museum?

Freelancers or others without accreditation should contact the ICP Communications office at press@icp.org to make arrangements prior to visiting us.

What arrangements are necessary to make in order to film video and/or shoot stills at ICP?

Please email press@icp.org with information about your project and availability in order to schedule a time to visit.

How do I arrange for an interview with a member of your staff?

Please contact press@icp.org with all interview requests.

How do I obtain permission to reproduce high-resolution images of works in past/current/upcoming exhibitions?

Visit the Press Room to view contact sheets of available images. Please email press@icp.org with your media affiliation, the name of the contact sheet, and the numbers next to the images you would like to use in order to receive high resolution files along with caption/copyright information.

How can I find out if a particular work is in ICP’s Collections?

The Browse section brings together more than 58,000 items from ICP’s institutional archives and its Collections, and the robust Search function lets users find exactly what they want, quickly. Each record includes information about the photographer, title, date, medium, as well as an image, when available. Because of the large number of works in the collection, new items are continually added to the online collection, and records are constantly updated with additional research and texts. If you still have questions after searching the Collections, please email collections@icp.org.
