The exhibition explores images from each of his three major series of photographs: "Hitler Moves East" (1975–1977); "Modern Romance" (1984–1994); "The Wild West" (1987–1989); "American Beauties" (1989–1990); "Desire" (1990–1991); "Mein Kampf" (1993–1994); and "Blackface" (1995–1996).
