WEEGEE ARCHIVE

The Weegee Archive was bequeathed to ICP in 1993. Weegee is best known for his tabloid photographs of crime scenes, and New York City nightlife in the 30's and 40's.

     ROMAN VISHNIAC ARCHIVE

The Roman Vishniac Archive of more than 3,000 prints was loaned to ICP by the photographer's estate in 1992.

THE DANIEL COWIN COLLECTION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN VERNACULAR PHOTOGRAPHY

This collection was given to ICP by Daniel Cowin in 1990. The collection comprises about 1,600 photographs, including several albums.

     LIFE MAGAZINE COLLECTION

The LIFE Magazine Collection was donated by The Picture Collection, Inc. in 2005. The 1,000 photographs in the collection represent the major stories and individual icons published in this influential magazine.

DAVID SEYMOUR ("CHIM") ARCHIVE

David Seymour – along with Robert Capa, George Rodger, and Henri Cartier-Bresson – was one of the founders of Magnum Photos.

     AIDS GRAPHICS

The AIDS Graphics collection was purchased by ICP in 2000. The collection comprises work from various artists and collectives.

DAVID SEIDNER ARCHIVE

The David Seidner Archive contains prints, negatives and papers of the late fashion photographer.

     ARTISTS' POSTER COMMITTEE
     COLLECTION

This collection includes more than 200 posters made for distribution in the 1960s and 1970s to raise awareness of political and social issues, particularly the atrocities of the Vietnam War.
