After 10x10 Japan, we thought, what if we took American photobooks to Japan? So that is what we planned to do, and this is what happened. We contacted 10 specialists from the photobook community and asked them to select 10 American photobooks of influence from the past 25 years.

10x10 American Photobooks will travel to Tokyo for a four-week run at the Tokyo Institute of Photography from September 11–October 6, 2013. At the end of the event, all the books in the project will be donated to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography Library.
