The layout, which pairs a full-length portrait of Amelia Earhart in her flight suit with a gauzy headshot, parallels her text on courage. After declaring that fortitude is not based on sex, she suggests that she is "running the risk of becoming a heavy-handed feminist . . . I'm guilty, as I do become increasingly weary of male superiority unquestioned."
